MaDeWater
This Week at The Water Store
Water. Community. Connection.
Our Biggest Philanthropy Friday Donation Yet!
This week gave us another reason to be proud of what we're building at MaDeWater. For Philanthropy Friday, we were honored to donate water to the Committee on Church Cooperation โ and this wasn't just another donation. It was our largest donation to date.
Even more meaningful? Our neighbors helped make it happen. Throughout the week, members of our community contributed water through our donation box, allowing us to turn individual acts of kindness into a much larger community contribution.
Small Contributions. BIG Impact.
A bottle of water may seem like a small thing. But when one person gives a bottle, another gives a case, and another encourages someone else to participate, those small acts begin to add up. This week's donation was a perfect example.
MaDeWater provides the water โ but our community helps create the impact. We're proud to have a donation box available for neighbors who want to help us continue making a difference through future Philanthropy Friday initiatives.
You Ask. We Listen.
One of the most important parts of building MaDeWater has nothing to do with shelves, cases, or bottles. It's listening.
Our neighbors continue to tell us what products they'd like to see, what questions they have, and what would make shopping at The Water Store even better โ and we're paying attention. Some of the products we carry today started with a simple customer request.
Think You Know Water? Think Again!
Water isn't always just water. Different types of water can have different purposes, and understanding those differences can help you make better purchasing decisions.
That's why we're committed to bringing our neighbors more than products โ we're bringing information, too. Have a water question you'd like MaDe to investigate? Send it our way!
This Week's Water Joke
MaDe the Mascot has been busy again โ and this week's joke was a littleโฆ emotional. ๐
Because it had too many bottled-up feelings! ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
We're discovering that running a water store doesn't mean everything has to be serious. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow.
MaDeWater Is More Than a Store
This week, we continued building our online community with content designed to educate, entertain, and connect with our neighbors. From water education and product features to community stories and MaDe's latest adventures, we're finding new ways to bring The Water Store to your newsfeed.
Because we'd rather have a neighbor who comes back than a customer who simply walks through the door once.
Community Is the Secret Ingredient
Every week teaches us something new. This week, it was especially clear: MaDeWater isn't being built by one person. It's being built by:
- Customers who make suggestions
- Neighbors who donate
- People who share our posts
- Families who stop by the store
- Organizations that allow us to serve them
- Everyone who tells someone else about MaDeWater
That's how a business becomes part of a community. One relationship at a time.
The Week at a Glance
Next Week at MaDeWater
More water. More laughs. More community. More opportunities to serve. And, of courseโฆ a few surprises. ๐๐ฆ
We're continuing to grow, learn, and figure out what it means to create a store dedicated entirely to bottled water โ and we're excited to have our neighbors along for the ride.
One Last Drop ๐ง
When we started MaDeWater, we believed there was room to do something different โ a place dedicated to water, where customers could find everyday water, premium water, specialty water, gallons, cases, singles, and more. But we're learning The Water Store is becoming about much more than what's on the shelves. It's becoming a place where neighbors connect, where customers' voices matter, where businesses can give back, and where a simple bottle of water can become an act of kindness.
Thank you for supporting MaDeWater. Thank you for shopping local, donating, sharing, and believing in what we're building. Thank you for being part of the journey.

Water You Doing?
Another week. More neighbors. More water. More fun. Here's what's been making waves at MaDeWater โ The Water Store.
MaDe Has Arrived!
The newest member of the MaDeWater family officially walked through the door this week โ MaDe the Mascot is here! ๐ง
We're inviting our neighbors โ especially the kids โ to come by, take a picture with MaDe, and make a memory. Because who says buying water can't be fun?
You Asked. We're Listening.
One of our neighbors asked about Starburst ICE. We didn't have it yet. But that doesn't mean we can't change that.
We asked which flavor they wanted. The answer:
That's one of the things we love about being a local business โ our shelves aren't just filled with products we think people want. They're influenced by our neighbors. You ask. We listen. And when we can, we make it happen.
Decatur Might Be Full of Fish
This week, we asked a very serious question: be honest โ how much water have you actually had today?
The answers made us laugh:
So now we're wonderingโฆ are we running a water store or a fish tank? ๐ Either way, keep that water coming!
MaDe's Mythbusters
This week, MaDe continued busting myths about something we all need every single day: water.
Sometimes when you're dragging through the day, your body may not be asking for another cup of coffee. It may simply be saying: "Heyโฆ remember me? I need some water!"
Stay hydrated, neighbors. ๐ง
We're Building This Together
Something special is happening at MaDeWater. Every one of these helps shape The Water Store:
- Every customer suggestion
- Every Facebook comment
- Every new product request
- Every person who walks through the door
- Every neighbor who tells someone else about us
We're learning what our community wants, finding new ways to make water more interesting, and creating a store that's about more than what's sitting on the shelves. It's about people.
From Our Family to Yours ๐ง
Thank you for stopping in. Thank you for commenting. Thank you for making suggestions. Thank you for telling your friends about us. And thank you for being part of the MaDeWater story. We're just getting started.
Come for the water. Stay for the experience.
The MaDeWater Weekly
More Than Water: A Week of Neighbors, Questions & Giving Back
August 9โ15, 2026
Another week is in the books at MaDeWater โ The Water Store. And while, yes, we spent the week selling water, that's only part of the story.
This week brought customer questions, community conversations, product requests, a little criticism, a lot of support, and another opportunity to give back. That's what makes running a local business interesting.
The Question of the Weekย
"Why should I buy water from you?"
It's a fair question. You can buy bottled water at grocery stores, convenience stores, big-box retailers and plenty of other places. We're not pretending otherwise.
What we're building at MaDeWater is different. We're a local business focused exclusively on bottled water โ cases, gallons, singles, specialty waters, cold water and delivery, all under one roof.
But the biggest difference isn't what's on the shelf. It's the relationship with the people who walk through our door. When a neighbor asks for a particular brand, we listen. When someone tells us they need a different product, we pay attention. When the community needs water, we look for ways to help. That's the business we're trying to build.
Community Corner
120 Bottles. One Pantry. A Lot of Gratitude.
This week, our Philanthropy Friday effort took us to the Impact Church food pantry.
120 bottles of water were donated this week to help support the Impact Church food pantry and the people it serves.
For us, giving back isn't supposed to be a publicity stunt. It's part of the reason we wanted MaDeWater to be a local business in the first place. We could spend every marketing dollar on advertisements telling people we're a good business. Or we can take some of those dollars and actually do something useful. We'll take the second option.
You Asked. We Listened.
One of the best parts of being a small business is that we don't have to wait for a corporate meeting six months from now to make a change. If a neighbor asks, "Do you carry this?" โ we can actually do something about it.
This week brought more conversations about specialty and premium waters, along with requests for products our neighbors want to see on our shelves. We're continuing to build our inventory around the people who actually shop with us. Because shelves should reflect customers โ not just spreadsheets.
Yes, We Hear the Criticism Too
Being on social media means hearing from supporters, curious neighbors and people who aren't exactly convinced by what we're doing. That's okay. Not everyone is going to understand the idea of a water store immediately.
Some people ask why we give away free water. Some question our marketing. Some wonder why they should shop with us when water is available everywhere. Those questions actually give us an opportunity to explain ourselves.
We're not trying to win every argument on Facebook. We're trying to build a business people want to visit. There's a difference.
This Week's Biggest Lesson
We're Still Learning.
MaDeWater is a young business. That means we're still figuring things out. We're learning which products people want. We're learning what promotions work. We're learning what our neighbors respond to. We're learning how to communicate what makes MaDeWater different.
And we're learning that building a local business isn't just about getting people through the door. It's about giving them a reason to come back.
Looking Ahead
Another week means another opportunity. More water. More neighbors. More conversations. More community involvement. And, hopefully, a few more people discovering that "The Water Store" is actually a pretty interesting place to shop.
Thanks to everyone who stopped in, bought something, shared a post, left a comment, asked a question, made a suggestion, donated, or simply told someone else about us. We're still building. And we're glad you're here for the ride.
